2011
2011 - will end with a fever finally down from 104.  It will end much the way it began and yet it will end very different from the way it began.  I’d love to write more but the fever makes it difficult. Good luck to all lose runners tonight.  Goodbye 2011- thank you for bringing a new start.

4.69 Miles and other things...
After a week off of running I finally made it back out on the road. After 18 months of living and running in LA, I have been spoiled by the weather. At first I had on capris and a t-shirt but then decided to check the weather and saw that it was only going to be 39, the sun was setting and it is windy so I grabbed a long sleeve shirt. Wowzers 39 and windy is way different from 50 and windy. I...

3.5 ish Miles
Went out for my first run in a rather warm NYC. I am already in love. Holidays are crazy. I am planning things for 2012 though. Running stores, gluten free goodness, juices.  Stay tuned. Stay Safe.  Happy Holidays.

Unpacking
At some point- when I can see over the boxes and manage a life around not having our furniture yet, normal life shall resume.

5k Friday!
After 10 hours of driving I made it to my stop tonight, threw down my things and headed to the gym. Ran a 5k in 26:36- super excited about that. Food and sleep are a must!

4 miles.
Went out for what may end up being my last run in LA today. Felt great! When I first started moving my body hated me but about half way into it I felt oddly amazing.  I am so scattered brain. I am moving across the country in a day and a half! Tomorrow I work all day and then the next day I leave!  O gosh! Off to my last class of my program ever! :)   Till the tills!

Ho Ho Holiday Half Marathon- 13.1
So three weeks ago I felt the need to finish up my time here in LA in a big way. I was searching for 5K’s because based on my weekly running at that point a 5K made the most logical sense. Then my new friend from Pomona said we should “Get a little crazy” and run the 1/2. I have a soft spot in my heart for the words get a little crazy and I knew she was right. I wanted to go out...

2.75 Miles
Yesterday I met up with a friend to run my last training run before my half on Sunday. O Jeepers that is tomorrow. Anyway- I love this friend for the great conversation, the ease of going anywhere we feel but mostly I love running with her because we average around a 10 pace when we are going fast. I read somewhere that running with people who are slower than you can actually improve your running....

Sunset run at the beach. Wish I was still running.  Half Marathon on Sunday = must be a good runner girl.  Fastest pace: 8’12 Slowest pace: 11’58 Average: 9’21 aka pretty much spot on for an easy day.  Good job legs, arms and brain. Today you made a stellar team.  Till the tills.

These are my thoughts:
I have been having a lot of anxiety attacks these past few days. I know it goes back to the denial that I am moving in (gulp) 8 and 18 hours but I have been trying to be honest with why I am having these feelings.  The fact is I am about to get everything I have dreamed about - An apartment in a city where I do not need a car, where I do not have random roommates. I can finally control the...

4.45 Miles and Rambles
Todays run: 4.45 miles at a 9:01 average pace (40 minutes 9 seconds). Fastest pace: 7’52 slowest pace 11’17.  1) I have no idea where this run came from. I felt like I was on fire.  2) I have started to actually use my stick after each run and I think THAT may have something to do with it.  3) I have started to eat a BIG breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner. THAT may have...

Today’s run was a pace run. The first pace run I have done in a while. I ran for one hour: 25 minutes easy 3 minutes at half marathon pace (The one I am running in March not next weekend) 1 minute walk  then repeat 5 times Finally 16:00 minutes of an easy pace. A funny thing happened I ran my half marathon pace at anywhere from 7:05- 8:30. (Again I will be NO where near this come next...

The Beauty of Starting Over →
Its not secret I find much strength from reading Tiny Buddha but today I found this post at just the right time. I am going to give most of my big items to good will today (bed, dresser and so on) I feel I am making room for the new.  Last night’s run was needed as well. Slow and steady right around a 9:30 pace, it was dark and cold and I felt like I was flying. Today or tomorrow I will set...

Accept.
I have always been a contradiction and right now I am no different. I crave change and I cannot handle change. I am doing what I can to accept. My life is about to drastically change from living in LA to living in NYC. From working 4 sometimes 5 jobs in one week to working no jobs. From being overwhelmed with school work to reading books for pleasure. From living 3,000 miles away from my boo,...
